Are you one of those who get up before 6 in the morning to do sports? Or are you more of a person who sets five alarms and gets up when the last one goes off?
Whatever you are, we’ve got you covered. There are four generic ways to wake up, and doing one or the other reveals your true personality. Coach Suzy Ashworth has carried out this classification.
TYPE 1: You wake up before 6
If you wake up before 6 am, you start producing and planning the day, you are a person who is in control of your life. You are likely to be the head of a household or the head of a company. Your day would not be the same if you did not get up early, because you have to structure the hours well to be productive. And staying lounging around in bed is not an option.
One day, unintentionally, you fall asleep, and you are already overwhelmed all day. According to the coach, if you are this type of person, you are resourceful, proactive and always try to make the most of your days. Likewise, you are a perfectionist and aim to succeed in life. You are usually one step ahead of others.
TYPE 2: You rush until the last moment
You are one of those who set five alarms every day. You turn off one, and you fall asleep; you turn off the other, and go back to sleep… until the last. You no longer have room to stay in a horizontal position, so you have no choice but to get up and get going. A quick coffeereading your mobile and, horror, you don’t have clean clothes. You are one of those who do not plan anything, so you often forget things at home that you should have taken.
In the end, you do everything, but everything wrong. In your mornings , anxiety and imbalance dominate, especially because you are one of those who go to bed late.
TYPE 3: You get up early to finish yesterday
The saying ‘don’t leave for tomorrow what you can do today’ does not apply to you. You’re one of those who gets up first to finish the
tasksthat should have alreadybeen done the previous day. You are total chaos, and even more so in the mornings.
While this may work most of the time, you have to admit that it’s exhausting. You can’t go through life with time stuck to your butt, it’s not healthy. However, the coach assures, it may also be that you are afraid of success, and therefore your subconscious hinders your work. We add one: you are a careful procrastinator.
TYPE 4: You leave everything ready at night
You are one of those who leave everything perfectly prepared the night before. The clothes, the computer, the money, the wallet… You don’t reserve anything at random. And you do it just to be calmer and to be able to squirm around in bed a little more. You have everything so planned that you even know how many extra minutes you can stay in bed.
Organizing everything before going to bed reflects that you are committed to your daily work, both in your personal life and in your work facet. Routine and order are important to you, but be careful: being too rigid is not good, so take the weekends to disconnect from your plan.
